THE TROUBLE OVER.
AN UNPOPULAR OFFICER. MEN TREATED LIKE BOYS. (Received 8.52 a.m.) LONDON, November 7. The mutiny is over, and Portsmouth is now quiet. The stokers state that the lieutenant who ordered them to their knees was unpopular, and had already lost half a year's seniority for his conduct. The men complain of, the "dead set" made against them by executive officers, who are in the habit of treating them like boys. .
