The Canard Liners Lusitania and Mauretania between them can carry 10.000 pa-ssengers across the Atlantic. Hearst lias suffered severe defeat at the Xew York election, Hughes now being assured of a large majority. Mr. F. W. Lang, ex-MJSJt, for Waikato, was last night adopted as the Opposition candidate for the Manukau seat.
