DEATH OF A JOURNALIST.
(Received 8.42 a.m.) I ——— LONDON, November 6. The death is announced of the Hon. !Auberon E. W. M. Herbert, third son of fie third Earl of Carnarvon, and a wellknown journalist.
[Mr. Herbert was born 68 years ago, tas educated at and Oxford, aud (was an officer in the army, M.P. for Nottingham (1870-73), and" finally a jourftalist, and maker of books. His "Politician in Trouble About His Soul" was a clever satire on party politics, directed more especially against the Liberals. Mr. Herbert was an able exponent of the social and political views of Herbert Spencer.]
