Wyatt, who for a time will fill the vacancy in the Hamilton parish caused by the transfer of the Rev. T. Fisher, entered on hi_ ministrations on Sunday, taking services at Tuhikaramea, Whatavvhata, and St. Peter's, Hamilton. Our special correspondent at Christchurch wires that the Hon. Geo. Fowlds, whp intended reaeliing Auckland on November 20 after visiting Dunedin. has altered his arrangements. The date upon which he will leave Christchurch is uncertain. Mr. L. F. Cockroft, the San Francisco agent of the Oceanic Company, left by the erpress this morning for Rotorua. He is travelling overland to Wellington via the Wanganui, and will proceed ohwards to Christchurch, and through the ; South Island.
