An pnjnyahlf social wns held on Friday evening I>V th(-• members and friends of the Auckland Society for Spiritual Progress, in the Masonio Hall, Newton. The hall was well filled, and every item furnished was much appreciated. Intervals between the dances were filled by songs and recitals from various friends, and a very pretty fancy dance was executed by two young ladifs. It was evident that every one appreciated the efforts of the committee to provide an excellent entertainment. The. ladies who presided over the refreshments are also to be congratulated upon their success.
