THE OPERA HOUSE. „ . I :'i f The final performance of "Homo I Rule" by the Taylor-Caxrington Dramatic Company was witnessed last niglrfi by another excellent audience, vrho thoroughly appreciated the sensational I fare provided. To-night the company, ; will giveja change, when the stage "will be occupied by "Mr Barnes of New; York."

A contemporary says: "The comic episodes of the play are so amusing ant! the serious interest so powerful and emotional that there is not a dull moment in the whole four acts. Miss Carrington's performance of Marina is almost tragic in its intensity, and commands the entire sympathies of the audience, whilst Mr. Charlie Taylors 'Barnes , is one of the most amusing of stage creations."' The play will be staged until Saturday next, when "Uncle Tom's Cabin" will be produced. HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. '" ~ The second performance of the KsK Jubilee Singers at His Majesty's Theatre last evening drew a large and extremely appreciative audience. The items of the lengthy programme were most artistically rendered, and the audience was not slow to recognise the merit of the singers, and encores -were the order of the evening. The jubilee choruses were especially good, and the soloists also received well-deserved applause. "Asleep on the Deep," by, Mr Harry Newton, and "Just for Txh night," by Mr Chas. Tisdale were loudly, redemanded, as was the case with, the solo-s of Miss Beatrice Mercer and Miss, Belle Gibbons. One of the most enjoyable items was the quartette, "The Soldiers Farewell," by Messrs Tisdale, Collins. Newton and White. This evening the company will give thsii" first change of programme, intractaoing; new solos, glees, quartettes and jubilee c-horusesr.
