SAILORS' HOME COUNCIL.
The Sailors' Home Council met last eight at the Home, Mr H. Peake being in the chair, those also present being Messrs Harle Giles, P. J. Nerheny. T. Gresham, E. H. Potter, and J. W, Coleman. The Chairman announced that the work of enlarging the" home was being rapidly pushed on, the kitchen being in a fair way to completion. Mr Potter gave notice of motion, in accordance with the promise to subscribers to provide a special sinking fund respecting the enlargement of the home, to the effect "That the sum of £200 be transferred to such fund; that the said account be credited annually with a sum to be hereafter decided upon; and that the said fund be controlled by a special committee, consisting of Mr Peake, Mr Nerheny, and the mover." The same gentleman gave notice of a further motion for nest meeting, "That immediate steps be taken to realise on the Wyndham-street property to the best advantage, and that the proceeds t~> r-»-___-r___-t__l Jo. fz-ewtw-**- (M—BCBWam."
