FOOTBALL.
The team which I published 01* Friday of last week as the team chosen to visit England is the correct one, and on tn» whole it has given satisfaction. Qfl* or two of those included, however, do not meet with general approval. Bootll, of Otag'o, is tlin one to whom the greatest exception has been taken. He is not a good three-quarter and no one could contend that he can play fiill-baOk. Again, in the forwards chosen I cannot find a man to play in the front row with Tyler, not a forward chosen beiiiff , ot similar figu'e or style of play to the City front ranker. Mackrell is a forward who mi-'iit well have been chosen for this position. Of Whisker, the Wairarapa forward. I know little, but be appears, from what I can learn to be a very fair forward, without any great amount of pace but with good staying power. I»« fact that neither McMinrf or Dick McGregor, both of whom were in the •«« ; fifteen, were considered cannot IW». be the subject of conuneufe. .--*•-—-
