BUILDERS' WORK CRITICISED.

Mr McCarthy, S.M.. in the Auckland Magistrates' Court yesterday evening, continued: to. heat evidence in the building- dispute between Snelling Bros. Cbuilders) and John Bell, for whom* they built a house by contract in Inker-. man street. His Worship and the parties had inspected the property during an adjournment. _ ... Mr Cotter carried on a lengthy crossexamination, in the course of which the, magistrate warned the witness that if he did not answer the questions properly it might be necessary for him to commit him to gaol for contempt of court. The cross-examination lasted for two hours, and the case was finally adjourned • till Monday,, when cross-examination will be resumed.
