THE PREMIER'S VISIT TO WAIHI.

A meeting of the Wailii branch of the Liberal and Labour, Federation was held last evening to consider the question of giving a litting reception to the Premier next week, when he visits Wailii to present the charter to the branch recently formed and officially open the new borough waler works.. Mr Donaldson (presideut) presided, and there were also present Messrs Foster (vice president), Carpenter. . (secretary) and Keoghan (president of the Waikino branch). Mr Donaldson stated that the executive were unanimously in favour of tendering the Premier a welcome in the shape of a conversazione including ladies. They trusted the general public would not consider the branch's action exclusive, but tnat in giving Mr Seddon a very large and fitting reception, and that the" Premier's visit would prove greatly benefkial to the Liberal movement; Waibi being undoubtedly a labour comuuimtv mid Liberals to a man. Tho jneeting confirmed the executive's suggestions re the"couva-sazioiie, .and also decided to arrange for a school holiday and public reception, with band, cadets, etc Arrangements were made for the formation of a Ladies' Committee, and for the visit of representatives of other branches throughout the electorate. Ihe hope was expressed that the Premier would address a monster public meeting in the Academy of Music. Other speakers referred to the great benefit brought about by the Premier to tHe labour comniunity.
