A SEAMAN'S SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS.
(By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright-> (Received 10.47 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A seaman on the ship Spoke at Newcastle has been granted a rescission of articles, his wages and the costs of proceedings in an action brought against the captain, on the alleged grounds that the vessel, the rigging and the life-boats were rotten, and that the supply of food insufficient and bad. The evidence as to unseaworthiness was contradictory. One shipwright said he could push hi 3 hand into the holes in the mizzen-top, while he could push a knife to the hilt nearly all over the foremast. Lloyd's surveyor, however, disagreed with this statement.
