FASHION NOTES.

This is a very dainty design'in spotte< muslin. The square yoke is tucked, anc finished with insertion which forms s low square collar so delightfully cool ii summer wfcather. The sleeve is the full bishop shap. gathered into the armholc and finisuei with a hand of insertion. The front o the blouse is very full, and gauged int< the yoke, which is trimmed with a bam of insertion, as also is the cuff. The amount of material required i: 3* yards, and 5 yards of insertion. DAINTY COLLARS. The fashion.of hand-embroidered epl lars and complete sets of the kind gain I apace. We sec the most delightful neel ornaments, which are sometimes mud more than mere collars, fashioned fror embroidered canvas, hem-stitched care brie, and openwork muslin of all sorts To buy reAdy-made, these sets are ver; often rather expensive. Of course, quit a cheap kind can be had., because ndwa days, ie seems to ine that ,everything i copied cheaply; but alas! the creap em broidered collars will not last; they d not -wear a.t all, a.nd will scarcely st*m the first washing. Instead, it is ver; much wiser to try and make one's en. broidered collars of the kind at home It is not possible to do this with ever sha.pe, but with a good many the baj piest results can be obtained. On very good and economical idea is t purchase a fairly go>od muslin embroic ered pocket-handkerchief. This, yo see, owns as well a hemstitched edgi Now with care a good-sized handkei chief of the kind will cut four collars or, if it is not quite large enough fc t'bis, it will cut two collars and or pair of cuffs, the two collars being ex from the two full-length ends, and th two sides that are over will fashio one pair of cuffs. This idea may als be carried out in making many of tt fancy ties and cravats which are no so much worn.
