BIRKENHEAD COUNCIL.
The Birkcnhead Council met last evenInc. Cγ. A- Koyes (acting Mayor) presided, and Crs. White. Kay, Hadfieid <2i. Donahu, Wallace, auri Harris were present. Waitemaia County Council offered to pay half tlir cast of proposed work on the Ldike Rd. .Referred to the Works Committee to be dealt with, ?s per plans aud specifications submitted by the County Engineer. The Tiwn Clerk was instrncted to lay Information against those having horses and traps using flic footpaths where no cross'inir exists. The Council decided to repair the borough side of the Northcote tool bridge, leaving the Northcote side to the <-are of the Nortbeoie representatives of the Waitemata County Council.
