CAMBRIDGE ACCIDENTS.

i PERILOUS EXPERIENCE OF TWO BOYS. (By Telegraph.— Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, this day. A 13-year-old ?on of Mr. R. Wynyard, j the well-known secretary of the Devonport Racing Club, had a miraculous escape from being killed on Sunday afternoon at Hinuera. where he was Visiting Mr. William Ring. He was having a gallop on a horse, and was about to go through a gate, when the animal shied, throwing the boy. His head struck against a gate post, and he was completely scalped from the front of his head to the back. Dr. Roberts was sent for. He turned back the scalp, and washed, disinfected, and stitched the scalp in its place. The boy is doing splendidly. There is no fracture of the skull. To-morrow he will be broueht to Cambridge and placed under the care of Nurses Russell and Dudley, at Victoria House.

Yesterday morning Carl, the five-year son of Mr. Martiu MeDermotl, came very near being cremated. During the hot weather several boys had been sleepmg m a tent on Mr. McDerinott's lawn. iesterday the boy Carl was by himself in the tent, when lie somehoV, while playing with matches, set the tent on rath <* severely burned, but Dr. Roberts says he will soon be well again.
