HARBOUR BOARD ELECTIONS.
CHANGES IN THE BOARD. The result of the appointmenis to the Harbour Board is that five new members will take their seats, and the Government representatives are yet to be nominated- The poll resrdtcd as follows: J. M. Laxon 282 C. C. Dacir 271 J. M. Mennie 251 -I. T. .Tiilian 247 VT. J. Parker 231 Mr Lax.on in therefore the aniv one of the retiring ffrenibers that ba,s been re-elected: Mr Julian, the chairman, and Mr Parker not being returned for another ternj. As previously indicated, jMr W. J. W. Phil son was re-elected unI opposed, to represent the Chamber of Commerce on the Board. Mr A. Keyes was selected by the Bormurh of Birk'enh«ad, ilr ii. W.
