At th»» finnnal meeting of tbe Birken-hfvid-Birkdale Cycle Imgve. held last Saturday evening, presided over by Mr Brook, several tenders were received for the clearing and shelling the Btrkeniead portion of the track, but as these were considered too high it was decided to have the work done by day labour, as long as the fnnds available lasted. The officers eJecfM for the ensuing year were: Presi'lcnt. Mr Julian Brook: secretary and treasurer. Mr Thos Shepherd. The" financial statement showed there was a credit balance in hand of £1 12/6.
