SHOT BY A BLACKFELLOW.
NORTHERN TERRITORY TRAGEDY. 1 THREE MEN KILLED. ADELAIDE, February 5. News was received on Saturday that a drover known as "Long' Edwards, a man named Frost, and a black boy had all been shot dead in their camp by the Alligator river. A native named Tommy Edwards left Katherine a week or two ago for Wave Hill station, Victoria river, accompanied by two black boys, and it is supposed that he fell in with Frost on his«way. The native Tommy called at Edith, be-! tween Pine Creek and Katherine, over a week ago, carrying a bridle and rifle. Edith is the changing station for the Pine Creek-Kathcrine mailman. Tommy told the black boys in charge that he had left Edwards, and saying his feet were sore, had borrowed a horse to ride out and fetch some things left on the road, promising to return in a short time.
