This useful native grass seems to be j growing in favour every season, especi- ! ally where settlers bave to contend with the ti-tree difficulty. If not fed off too closely the Danthonia can be burnt, off about this time of the year. This burning kills the young ti-tree which may hare sprung.Up among the grass; but | as the fife is very light and passes along j quickly it does not injure the grass, |. jWhich, after the next good shcwer, comes up green and freah. j
