DRUIDS' CONFERENCE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. The Bi-annual Conference of Druids concluded last night. The Grand District President (Bro. Fletcher) presided, and there were delegates present from lodges in the Northern Goldflelds and from the South as far as the West Coast.- The election of nine officers resulted as follpws: District Grand President, Bro. W. Blomiield; Grand V.P., Bro. H. J. Gilbert; Grand Secretary, Bro. •J. Mackay; Grand Treasurer, Bro. J. Grant; Grand Guardian, Bro, W Hunter. The report stated that several new lodges were opened during the year, and that the funds had increased by £ 10,016 15/5. Arrangements were made tor increasing the funeral benefits to £ 120, and to allow new members to immediately participate in a special funeral benefit amounting to £100. An office will be opened in Wellington for the conduct of the Grand Lodge business. The remuneration of the secretary was increased to £140. Wellington was selected as the place for the next conference.
