THE N.Z. FOOTBALLERS.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON", this day. Eefore leaving for the Old Country the N.Z. football team may play a couple of matches against other colonial combinations, in which case it is fair to assume that Auckland and Wellington will be the deciding grounds. At ail events arrangements will be made for at least one match being played by the chosen of this colony before starting on their homeward journey. Mr A. C. Norris, wlio has acted as the secretary of the X.Z. Rugby Union for the past three years, was transferred to the Telegraph Department in Napier a ' few months ago. Mr Norris intimated to his fellmv-committeemen that he would not offer himself for re-election at the next annual meeting on the ground of pressure of private busmess. The work of the union has increased to such, an extent that it is likery the union will have to foHow the example of the N S.W. Ruby Union and secure the services of a paid secretary.
