CHRISTCHURCH ROMAN CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondents CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The arrangements for the opening of the Roman Catholic Cathedral on Sunday are well forward. Pontifical High Mass will be sung by the Right Rev. Dr. Corlett, Bibhop of Sale. The Very Key. Father Clery vriJl be the assistant priest, and the Very Rev. Fathers Keogh, rector of St. Patrick's College, WeUingtoH, and O'Donnell, of Ashbnrton, will be deacon and sub-deacon respectively in connection with the celebration of the mass. The Rev. Fathers CConnell and Cooney will be masters of the ceremonies. The musical arrangements will be under the direction of the Rev. Father Masoney. It has been decided, that the blessing and dedication of the Cathedral will take place before the mass. The hour has not been definitely fixed, but it will be before eleven o'clock. At a quarter to eleven there will be a procession of sanctuary boys, the clergy and prelates from the Bishop's house to thfCathedral. Punctually at devux o'clock TTia Excellency the Governor and party will be met at the entrance by Bishop Grimes and the principal clergy. The ceremony will occupy two Lours or two hours and a half.
