A proposal to form coniinuatiba classes so as to provide educational facilities for pupils who hza& not passed the sixth standard in the element tary schools came before fSbe Schools Committee last night, w_i«rt Mr George George, director of tecliHH cal instruction, applied for the use ol Wellesley-street school on certain oienings during the week for this purpose. The Education Board woold, 'M_! George wrote, defray any extra cost "in. the way of cleaning and lighting. If; was menfioned by members of t__B committee that a number of candidate? for the technical school had shown inability to spell properly, and it waai evidently intended to make the continuation classes a preliminary to the technical classes. Mackay to arrange.
