BUTTER FOR JAPAN.
A BIG ORDER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) this day. The secretary of the TaTeri Peninsula Dairy Company, of ChrLstchnrch. on Saturday received during his stay here a cable message from the Liranese Government asking for a quotation for 3000 c3ses of butter for delivery during February. March, aud April. .Mr Bolt states that the output of the company is practically disposed of until the end of March, but Tnat a strong effort will be made to arrange to supply a portion of the order in view of opening up trade with Japan.
