PRISONER SENTENCED TO
DEATH
LONDON, March 20.
Klosowski, alias Chapman, has been sentenced to be hanged for poisoning the women Marsh, Spinks and Taylor. Mr Justice Grantham, in sentencing him, animadverttd on the carelessness of the doctors in the cases, and added that the discovery of the crimes was due to the efforts of Marsh's parents.
The Police Court investigation at fiouthwark on January 7 showed that Chapman had been living with the three women whom he afterwards murdered. The prisoner was in reality a Pole, who, fts the evidence went to show, had taken *ip the name of Chapman when living in the East End of London. It was also Bhown that prisoner had been a Polish "doctor's assistant."
