(From our own Correspondent.) This day.
On arrival of the p.s. Waipa, Captain Ross reports the accidental death from drowning of Maurice O'Neill at Kaiparera, on the Waipa. O'Neill fell off the barge in Bendigo. James Gall, engineer of the p.s. Waipa, gallantly plunged in to rescue deceased, and was followed by a Maori, but before they could render assistance, O'Neill was dead.
