The Fire Brigade.

This day,
The Fire Brigade last night passed the following resolutions: —"That the Secretary be instructed to inform the Council that the Brigade having tendered their resignations in accordance with the resolution passed by them, desire to state that they have no intention of withdrawing from the decision already arrived at." The Losses by the Destruction of the Theatre. By the fire at the Princess Theatre, Mr Sibbald, owner of the premises, loses £4,000, only £GOO of which is covered by a policy in the Trans-Atlantic Company ; Messrs. Steele and Keogh, the lessees, lost everything. They have lost £300. Ward, the property man, lost £50 ; all uninsured. The Darrells estimate their loss at £200; Willis, the scenic artist, has most of the scenery painted by him destroyed, but no chemicals were on the stage. The lessees lose £40 odd in money, proceeds of last night's taking, being in the chest in the office of the theatre.
