(From our own Correspondent.) This day. The Aldergrove's Passengers Released. The remainder of the Aldergrove's passengers, except one family, were released from quarantine yesterday. Sad Death of a Little Girl. Some days ago a number of little girls attending the Mornington district school were warming their aprons before the fire when one of the number was found to be enveloped in flames. She was removed to the hospital where she died yesterday. The master was absent at the time, and there Was no screen before the fire.
Arrest of a Burglar. The police yesterday arrested a desperate criminal named Alfred Hutchison alias German Charlie. He was committed for trial to-day for stealing a diamond ring. He is suspected of robbery from the Resident Magistrates' Court with the burglars Webb and Tulton. He twice escaped from custody on the West Coast.
