(From our own Correspondent.) This day. The East Coast Election.

Great indignation in felt in Poverty Bay re the Representation Bill not giving a separate member to this diytiict. A petition is being got up to the Assembly urging the claims of Poverty Bay. The district will return a local man if possible. Colonel Harrington is out of the running, and the Government will support Kelly, but there are dark horses Avhieh will run for the stakes.
