Upwards of 200 natives assembled yesterday at Kaipahi to lament over the*death of Miss Jane Turner, who died at Otorohanga, at Hetit's, her brother-in-law, while on'a visit. Tke body was escorted to Kaipahi on Saturday to Hetit's by a large number of friends. Among the mourners yesterday were Tv Tawhiao, Tawhiao's sister, wife, and and child, Te Tuhu, Homana, and a number of other chiefs. Tiie tangi is still going on. A number of deaths are reported amongst Kingises just now, principally children.
