MELBOURNE.

July 22. The Yarra sailed from Warrnambool on the 17th instant, for Auckland, with a cargo of potatoes. The Hero arrived from Auckland on the 18th instant. Mr and Mrs G. B. Owen were passengers. The Rev. Charles Clarke is lecturing with great success in the country districts. There are still several cases of typhoid fever in the Kew -Lunatic Asylum. There have been ten cases during the year; three have proved fatal. Mr. J. Voucher, waterproof cloth-manu-facturer, has been killed on the railway, a train passing over his body. Mr.-T. Hi Rainford has joined the United States Minstrels; Rockfellow has also been engaged by them. They are playing at the Opera House with great success. '
