Mb. A_fb_d BrroKLAND's "Weekly Report —At Wainku, on Wednesday, very few cattle were penned; those offered were freely competed for at Auckland values. At Remuera. on Thursday, dairy cattle were fairly repre?ented ; good animals at their profits maintained a high relative price. Medium and inferior animals, at lower value than have lately ruled. Store cattle in full supply, with an improved enqui'y for. yearling steers ; other descriptions at late values. Fat cattle in average number. 140 penned: all of good quality. Prices steady throughout at 35s the 1001b«. Fat sheep in much larger number than usual and better quality than for several weeks. 1200 sold, all fit for slaughter. Prices lower _d per lb ; small and medium-sized sheep at 4d. Heavy sheep a shade lower in price. Not many fat pigs offered, those sold at good prices. Store pigs more numerous than usual with a steady eriquiry.

The number suhmitted for disposal by auction on Friday was below the average, and the stamp as a rule was decidedly inferior. There was steady competition for useful animals, and there is an unsatisfied demand for upstanding young horses, but low-condi-tioned, small-sized animals are difficult to place. We quote hacks from £6 to £1115s ; light-harness horses, from £17 to £21 5s each. Cattle :We quote dairy cows from £8 to £10 15s ; yearlings, from £2 to £_ 16s ; weaned calves, from £112s ; 2 and 3-year old steers, from £4 to £6 7s 6d each. Sheep : The supply has been good of those suitable for the butcher, and 3s per 81bs ruled. Pigs; The supply short ; there is a good demand at an advance of Id per lb.
