At a public meeting last night, convened by the chairman of the Town Board to consider what steps, if any, should be taken to pi event the sale of lot 257, town of Tauianga, the same being portion of a market reserve, it was resolved that no obstacle should be thrown in the way of sale. It is satisfactory to find that the foreshore at the Thames is to be handed over at last, although it is thought that one or two independent gentlemen should be joined with the Municipality as trustees, to represent the Goldfields outside of the Borough.
