TAIRUA.

(By Telegraph from Grahamsfcown.)

Thousands of Tons of Rich, Stone.

- This day. The Prospectors' at Tairua are driving into the big reef, 30 feet South from whence the recent trial of 5 cwt. came. The constitution and quality remain the same as on the outside. Several prospects were tried and showed rich loose gold.. The lode has been pierced nearer the Gem boundary than before, with the same prospects. The manager is bringing a shoot of water to sluice with.

The Gem are clearing a face on the sideling a little inside of the south boundary line. The trials have been satisfactory. The manager will proceed from the last hole in the Tairua claim into his own ground. The Eldorado shareholders are conveying a two ton trial to Neveaville which is expected to give two or three ounces to the ton. They are cutting through the? reef, which six feet is now visible without the off wall.

New ground still continues to be taken np, and men are put to work daily.
