Serious Accident.

A stoeeman named Thomas Steadman in the employ of Mr Alfred Buckland, yesterday about five o'clock in the afternoon, met with an accident which will incapacitate him for a considerable time from attending to his duties. Steadman was engaged in Mr. Buckland's large shed in Durham-street unloading a dray of flax when one of the bales rolled out of the dray and striking him across the legs broke one of them just below the knee. Dr. Goldsbro' was called in and set the limb, the sufferer being put to bed in a room over the office. This morning he was reported to be doing well and if all goes smoothly he is likely to be about again in a month's time..
