MIDDLE STAR GOLDMINING COMPANY.
T/tn half-yearly meeting of the directors and Shareholders of tho above Company was held this afternoon in the Mechanic's Institute, S. E. Hughe*, E-q ,in the chair. The chairman re id thj director's report and balance-sheet fdr trie half-year ending 30th June, and remarked that they were about £100 worse off than they were last year, aud unless the shareholders were prepared to make fresh calls as the claim had been well prospected, there was no other alternative but to wind up the Company. These were questions for the meeting to consider. 'i he report and balance * sheet wete adopted. Messrs Whitaksr and Ring, the retiring directors, were re-elected; After some consideration, Mr Nathan moved, and Mr Peacock seconded— " Tha> the directors take steps to wind-up the company, and that an extraordinary meeting be called at the earliest possible date for that purpose."—Car.ied unanimously. A vote of thauks to the Chairman finished the business.
