NEW PLYMOUTH.
(Per Press Telegram Agency.) Monday. Crew of the Hero Drowned.
The cutter Hero was abandoned three miles off Mokau. The crew took to the boats, but as they entered they were capsized by the surf, and all were drowned except a boy who was washed ashore. The names of the crew are Doble (captain), Gordon, Lury, and Hunt. Bunt was saved.
