PORT CHALMERS.
(From our own Correspondent.) This day. An English Barque ArrivedArrived (yesterday)—Oraigie, barque, Leemon, from Glasgow, 103 dajs out. She was 35 days to the Equator, and 64 to the Meridian of the' Cape ; thence strong westerly gales across the Southern Ocean. On the 26th June—the barque scudding,— carried away the figurehead and port topgallant bulwarks. Several seas broke on board and swept the decks.
We*leyan SoireeThe Wesleyan soiree at Port Chalmers last night, and circuit fund, was numerously attended. A special train to convey visitors ran from and to Dunedin.
