Missing Vessels.
THE MONEY NICK. We regret to say that nothing positive had been heard of this barque up North when the Icpa left Eussell yesterday. A singular story which may, however, have some conwction with this vessel, our shipping^ remiterheard on board the lona this morning. About a week ago, after nightfall, in fine weather, a barque was seen to run into fangape, a small and difficult harbour north „Hokianga. She dropped both anchors and filed a. rocket, but sent no boat ashore. Ato slewing round she stood out again, and went away to sea without leaving any „c to her name. It might be inferred that this mysterious stranger was the Moneynick, Were it not that Mr. Jagger says the Moneynick had no rockets on board.
THE BRIG DERWENT. The S, b. lona brings word that nothing __ been heard or seen of this vessel on the cost since her departure from Eangitoto Chronel en the sth inst. It will be recollected that the Derwent was bound to Mongol- and had already put back twice before she finally left. She was in ballast and con/eqnently is nearly certain lo have been blovn off the land, her mountain of side giviig her no chance against the late fierce westerly gales. We shall probably hear of her soon..
