ACTIVITY IN NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING.
SHIPS FOR AUCKLAND,
THE SHIPPING COMPANY'S NEW VESSELS.
London, June 1. Since my letter to you of the 4th of May, shipping in general to the colony of New Zealand has been exceedingly active, and emigrants to all the principal ports are coming forward most freely ; the flaw and doubts about the ill-fated Cospatrick have quite left their minds. Two large vessels are about leaving Belfast with emigrants for Auckland, viz the Dover Castle which sailed on the 28th of May with 228 immigrants, aiad the magnificent iron built ship Carisbrooke Castle leaving Liverpool on the 2nd of June fer Belfast, where she will embark a full compliment of saloon passengers (one of the same being our old friend Mr Farnell), 16 second cabin, and 350 Government immigrants. This vessel will sail from the last named port -on the 7th, and being a fine powerful ship, you may expect her out in about 80 days. Your next Auckland ship will be the fiae composite ship Columbus, which will leave the docks on the 4th She. is a fast sailer, and loaded to a light drught of water. You may expect to in the Adelaide trade; she wiU leave about and 20 feet 1 inch depth of hold, ltiey what similar to the Waimate and Waltangi.
