D HoWeil, claim-£l 17s Ud j.IOb a ™OMAS THOMPSON V. JAMES DOHERTY. Claim £2 12s 6d, goods. THOMAS THOMPSON V. JAMES GAMBLE. Claim £2 Bs, rent. Mr Thome for plaintiff in both cases. Int the first case a judgment summons had been issued against defendant, but he had failed in payment. ,'.'-, 4. Defendant said he was out of employment, and could not pay. He had a wife and four children, . ~ , Mr Thorne Raid defendant was impertinent, or Mr Thompson would not have pressed so S°The Court ordered payment by instalments of 5i a week, and on the first failure, he would go to prison for three weeks. In the second case, the claim was for^ use and occupation of a cottage in WakcfieldDefendanfc said he owed the money ; but had done a certain little job in the garden, for which he expected to be paid. His Worship told him that he must bring his action in the proper way ; and gave judgment for plaintiff, costs £1 4s 6d. JAMES H. HANSON V. JOHN CAMPBELL. Claim £3* 14s 3d. Mr Joy for plaintiff, Mr Thorne for defenJh'e plaintiff, a farmer ab the Whau, claimed uf defendant, a cow-keeper, of Wellington-street, for a load of hay. Mr Thorne said that Mr Hanson had sued iihe wrong man, the hay was purchased by a Mr W. C. Campbell and not by John Campbell. - Mr Hanson expressed surprise at the mistake, but on looking at the supposed defendaut, was quite sure he was not the man that bought the- hay. Mr Joy withdrew the case for the purpose of bringing the right Campbell to Court on Friday next. This was all the business.
