Two or three attempts have been made by the boats of the Bay Whaling Company to capture whales off Cnpe Brett but without ft nv success. m Departures- ■ Departures : Prince Enpert, for Thames ; Gem, for Auckland. The Fawn is loading with gum at Russell, an d will leave for Auckland to-night.
