Three English. Ships
Three vessels arrived here to-day. The ship Collingwood, from London, 86 days out, with 286 Government immigrants, has typhoid fever, diptheria, scarlatina, and measles on board ; twenty deaths occurred (one a case of suicide); and fifty passengers are still in the hospital; she is now in quarantine. The ship Lammerhagen,' 97 days out frdm Cuxhaven, with 300 immigrants ; one death and five births occurred The barque William Freeing, 112 days out from London with general cargo. Glue Factory. It is announced that a glue factory is about to be established near the Hutt, and that more than one third of the capital has een already subscribed. This day. The Easby has sailed for Newcastle with a full compliment of passengers, and was obliged to refuse a good number both here and at Lyttelton, owing to insufficient accommodation. The Bank of .New South Wales shipped £120,000 in gold by her for Sydney. The Criminal Sittings of Supreme Court were opened to-day. There were only fivecases. Frank Murray for assault with intent to rob was found guilty. Sentence was deferred.
