Wfl learn from < aptwn Farquhar, of the lona, that the baTqne Moneymck, although not reported as arrived *t.Hokianga was seen off tha bar at that port on Thursday, the Ist inst. Captair- Morion was then standing in. intending evidently to cross Captain Scon, the pilot, deemiag it dtngerous as there was a heavy sea on signalled him to stand off. Nothing has been seen of the vessel since. There is very little doubt that she has been blown off the land by tho late gales, and at present there need bn no apprehensions as to her fata.
The brigantine Zephyr comes from Southern ports with a cargo of produce for T. H. Hall .and Co. The vessel is for freight or charter. The attempts to raise the sunken vessels alongside the Queen-street Wharf, up to the present time, have been only partially successful. The Speedwell has been towed in her submerged state to within 100 feet of the watermen's steps. She is sadly knocked about, and she will have to be beached, as it will be impossible to float her. The same remark applies to the Tiri Tiri. ketch, which the steamer Scotchman this morning succeeded in pulling out of the hole in which she was lying on to the ridge outside. Old diver " jerry" is employed diving for the bricks in the cutter Diamond. About half of them have been sot, but the work had to be suspended this morning owing to the diess breaking. The Teaser has not yet been moved. The topsail schooner Dauntless clewed at Dunedin on the 28th Juae with a general cargo for Oaniaru. The schooner Agnes brings a cargo of flour from Dunedin. She left on the SOth June. The Bowena, left for Tauranga last evening with passengers and general cargo. The s s lona left Bassell at 1 30 pm, with 3.W. wind, fine weather, and smooth water, and arrived at Wa"garei at 945 ; left again a.t 10 pro, and arrived in Auckland at 5 this morning. The lona passed the Princp Rupert off Tutufcaka, and the Mariner off Cape Brett yesterday afternoon. Captain Farquhar, of the ss lona reports that both on the up and down trips he sigated a large number of bump-back,whales on-the coast. The schooner Estelle is loadiDg at "Wangaroa The brignntlne Look Out has sailed from Wangaroa. The brig Derwent had not arrived in Mongonui when the lona left.
