"ARRAH-NA-POGUE."
THIS drama, fnll of Irish humour and eccentricity, was successfully reprpsented last evening at the Prince of Wales Theatre, and in which Miss May JHoward made her farewell appearance, at least for a considerable time to come. This fact being known, a large .assemblage congregated to witness the parting representation of this popular actress who has won by her genius a host of admirers. The character which Miss Howard took in this Irish drama was 4 not the most suited either to her taste or talent, but there was no alternative, it was a matter of "Hobson's choice," with her, and she did her best in the nngenial position in which she was compelled to figure. Miss Clara Stephenson, was perfectly at ease in the simple, Irish character of Fanny Power and well did she exhibit the generosity and national characteristics of a young, open-hearted, Irish lass of culture. Mr. Collier made an excellent Shaun, and seemed to be well up in his task. Mr. Poole is always humourous, and possesses the happy knack of extracting a flash of fun from the direst materials. The remaining characters were well sustained and Arrah-na-Pogue, was never better represented at the Prince of "Wales Qheatre than it was last night. The romantic drama of " Joccrisse the Juggler" will.be produced this evning, to conclnde with a very laughable farce entitled " The Loan of a Lover."
