Tuesday, July 6. The schooner Tory arrived from the Manukau yesterday. The Especulador and Cynthia are loading at Aratapu, and the Hanna Bloomtield, Helena, and Rhoderick Dhu at Kopura. The floods have subsided and the recent gales have driven in a large quantity of timber. Some logs have been taken forty or fifty miles down the harbour and high and dry on beach. The annual meeting of justices for the Petty Sessions has been held. Four justices were present, and J. M. Dargaville, Esq., waa unanimously voted chairman, and Mr. Gooch, clerk. It was decided to hold a sitting of the Court on the last Saturday in every alternate month, commencing in August next.
