IMPROVEMENT COMMISSIONERS.
At a meeting of the Improvement Commissioners this afternoon, the Secretary reported that Sir George Grey ha(J promised to support their bill, and had suggested that Mr Sheehan should take charge <£ it. % He (Mr Stevenson) had, therefore felegraphed to Mr Sheehan. It was resolvel that the secretary should proceed to Wellington during the session. With referenieto to the vacancy caused by the death of thi late Mr Macready, it was resolved to ;eave the nomination to the Provincial Couttil. This was all the business.
