ent.) Mr. and Mrs. Darrell are not drawing so well as they promised to do at the first, but the weather has been very much against them. The Fakir of Oolu purposes opening here on Tuesday next. His agent, H. J. Whittington, has been here for the last few days making all necessary arrangements for his performances, and has been very successiul in all but in one respect. He could not get the theatre from Hoskins. and has to put up with the Oddfellows' Hall, which is rather small. They will raise prices, however, so as to equalise things. On leaving here, the Fakir goes straight to Auckland, thence to Sydney and on to Melbourne to open the Royal with new and startling effects for a Christmas pantomime.
