HAMILTON.
(From our own Correspondent.)
This day.
A Public Hall. A special committee of the Good Templars reported last evening in favor of forming a Company with a capital of £300 to build a public hall. It is believed the amount will be supplemented by £100 in subscription towards the erection of a public readingroom and library. The committee propose building the hall 100 feet by 40, containing ante-rooms, hall, stage, library, and readingreom. The report will be considered next meeting. Advance Good Templars. A Reception Committee has been appointed to receive Mr Turner on arrival, and arrange a programme for a public meeting. The Times' leader on railway mismanagement has caused a sensation in Waikato. Mr. John Knox, hitherto the greatest enemy of Good Templars in the district, joined the Lodge last night, also a lawyer. Rain, kakino. '
