NEW ZEALAND DIVORCE CASE.
At the "DivorceDourt, Sydney, on the 12th, alt., tbi case o Wilson v. Wilson came up or adjudication, the parties to which for some time reside in New Zealand. At the ftrial, the e|ience disclosed a heartless case of wifeieabing and cruel desertion. The material f a<* wer e; these : Both parties were married o; April 24, 1856, at Leeds, England, by a ©arch qf England clergyman, \amed Chapm| About fifteen months alterwarflß, thf arrived > in New Zealan^ where & Wilson, carried on a sheeji farminn|bii3ine3s for three years. . They tyen cao|ir to Sydney, and opened up a \drapeil sb<ip in, Pitt-street. After being enj |ed in such business three years thar cc|bitat»n ceased in April, 1863, through (r s Wilson discovering that her hustand ha |>een (jarrying on an adulterous intimacy |th one of their shop girls, named Isabella Ifarphy, Mrs Wilson charged -him with bis inleiity,l but he denied it, and from that time ilusedher. At one time she , was locked up ixi^er bedroom for a fortnight,/ and from hialcrueiy Bhe was forced to desert h«r j| o me (to regain her usual good health. i| or g j x years afterwards

After that Mr Wilson and ~i& iss Murphy resided a Newcastle as man and wife, and on August 26th, 1865, they aailea in the Atrevlda, for - California. The point argued this morning \ "was whether the decreji nhi should bejserved on Mr Wilson. Ansaffidavit by |Er W. Chipman, an attorn^c at California, was read, -showing that [he had served the citation on Mr Wilsfn in San Francisco, and that Mr Wilson!had endorsed 6n the original on acknowledgment that he was the party to the suit, art! was married to the petitioner. An affidavit by Mr Oreer, showing that Mr Wilson had never offered any opposition to the dvorce was also read. His Honor, said that upon the facts of the case, and the affidavits showing service, he would grant a decree Absolute. A divorce was accordingly grantel.
