POLICE COURT.—THIS DAY.
(Befoie Thomas Beckham, Esq., R.M.) Tflt! lAS* OF THE PAGANS. An elderly person, with a black eye, but otherwise of decent appearance, pleaded guilty to being drunk last right. His Worship expressed surprise at a person of prisoner's years being found in such a disgraceful condition. ' . _ . Prisoner evinced penitence, and raid a fine of 10s and costs.
PUNNE (DONE) BKOWN. Michael Dunne, alias Brown, was charged with the same offence. Prisoner, who presented, a lamentable appearance in Conrt, was found by Constable Mulville in a helpless state of drunkenness, pleaded guilcy, and was fined 53. and costs. ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. John Hunter, a young man, was charged with attempting to commit suicide by cutting his throat with a razor on the 2oth. The hearing of the case was adjeurned until Monddy, at the request of the Inspector This was all the business-
